Bookkeeping prices, explained clearly
Four monthly plans plus add-on services, with every price laid out for you. These are starting prices; your final price is confirmed in a written quote.
BookKeeper's monthly bookkeeping plans in Malaysia start from RM280/month and come in four tiers based on your monthly transactions: Starter, Growth, Pro and Custom. Catch-up bookkeeping, payroll, e-Invoice setup and SST filing can be added separately. All prices are starting prices, exclude service tax, and are confirmed in a final quote.
- Starter from RM280/month (up to 50 transactions), Growth from RM480/month (up to 150 transactions).
- Pro from RM880/month (up to 400 transactions), including payroll for 10 employees and one online owner meeting a month.
- Every plan includes recording documents, bank reconciliation, basic monthly financial statements and year-end closing.
- Management reports are included from Growth upwards; tax filing, audit and company secretary services are quoted separately.
- Prices exclude service tax. If the service provider is registered for SST, 8% is added.
All prices on this page are starting prices for reference. Every company differs in transactions, document condition, number of employees and industry, so your actual price is confirmed in a written quote after we have looked at your records.

How do the four monthly plans differ?
The four plans differ mainly in monthly transactions and how detailed the reports are: Starter covers up to 50, Growth up to 150 and Pro up to 400. At month end, with a pile of receipts on the desk and dozens of lines in the banking app, most owners first ask, "For my volume, how much will I pay?" The table below is organised around that question.
| Plan | Starting price (monthly) | Monthly transactions | Suitable for | What's included |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | From RM280 | Up to 50 | New companies, small Enterprises | Recording documents, bank reconciliation, basic monthly financial statements, year-end closing |
| Growth | From RM480 | Up to 150 | Established Sdn Bhd companies | Everything in Starter, with basic financial statements upgraded to monthly management reports |
| Pro | From RM880 | Up to 400 | Companies with staff and high transaction volume | Everything in Growth, plus payroll for 10 employees and one online owner meeting a month |
| Custom | By quote | Over 400 | Multiple companies or branches | Arranged around your structure |
Starter | from RM280/month
Up to 50 transactions a month, with basic monthly financial statements. For newly started Sdn Bhd companies and small Enterprises with few documents: get your books in order first, so year-end closing is calm.
Growth | from RM480/month
Up to 150 transactions a month, with monthly management reports. Your business is on track and you want to know each month how much you made and where the money went.
Pro | from RM880/month
Up to 400 transactions a month, with management reports, payroll for 10 employees and one online owner meeting a month. For companies with more staff and frequent buying and selling.
Custom | by quote
More than 400 transactions a month, or you have several companies or branches. We first understand your structure, then agree the process and price together.

How are add-on services charged?
Add-on services are charged per item, for example catch-up bookkeeping from RM150 per month of records and payroll from RM15 per employee per month. Some work does not happen every month, or only some companies need it. These are charged separately, so you only pay for what you use.
| Add-on service | Starting price | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Catch-up bookkeeping / clearing a backlog | From RM150 per month of records | Months that were not done are brought up to date one by one |
| Payroll processing | From RM15 per employee per month (minimum RM100/month) | Payslips, EPF, SOCSO, EIS and PCB calculations and contribution files |
| e-Invoice / MyInvois setup | From RM500 (one-off) | Activation, configuration and workflow setup |
| SST-02 filing | From RM150 per period | Service tax or sales tax return for each two-month period |
| Dormant company annual accounts | From RM800/year | Accounts a non-trading company still needs every year |
What exactly counts as "one transaction"?
The plans are based on transaction volume, so this definition needs to be clear first.
One transaction is one line of money in or out on your bank statement, or one document that needs to be recorded. A customer paying you by transfer once counts as one. Paying one supplier invoice also counts as one.
The quickest way to estimate: open last month's bank statement and count the lines. Then add any receipts paid in cash that did not go through the bank. That number is roughly your monthly transaction volume.
Say you run an online shop in Kota Kinabalu selling local produce. Each month there are about 60 lines in and out of the bank, plus a dozen or so cash receipts for packaging materials. That adds up to about 75 transactions, more than Starter's 50, so the Growth plan is a better fit. The actual tier is confirmed after we look at your statement.
What does the monthly fee include, and what doesn't it?
Every plan includes recording documents, bank reconciliation, basic monthly financial statements, deadline reminders and year-end closing. Tax filing, audit, company secretary services, catch-up bookkeeping and SST registration are quoted separately. "I thought that was included" is the most common misunderstanding, so we set out the boundaries first. The exact scope is confirmed in your quote.

e-Invoice / MyInvois setup, SST-02 filing and payroll beyond your plan are charged at the add-on prices above. Any work outside the quoted scope is explained to you before it is done.
Why do bookkeeping prices vary so much?
Price mainly reflects workload: transaction volume, how tidy your documents are, industry, number of employees, compliance items and how far behind the books are. You may have asked friends and heard that some pay two or three hundred ringgit a month and others one or two thousand. The difference usually comes down to these factors:
Transaction volume
30 transactions a month and 300 a month take very different amounts of time to record, reconcile and check.
Complete documents
Receipts filed by month and clearly named are quick to process. Receipts scattered across WhatsApp, drawers and the car take time to chase.
Industry complexity
E-commerce or trading with stock and several payment platforms needs several more rounds of checking than a simple service business.
Number of employees
Each extra employee means one more payslip, and one more set of EPF, SOCSO, EIS and PCB calculations.
Compliance items
Companies that need SST filing or an e-Invoice workflow have extra work every period.
Backlog
Whether your books are up to date or one or two years behind makes a big difference to the work at the start.

Ask on WhatsAppHow much does BookKeeper's bookkeeping service cost per month?
The Starter plan is from RM280/month, suitable for new companies or small Enterprises with up to 50 transactions a month. The Growth plan is from RM480/month and the Pro plan from RM880/month. Companies with more than 400 transactions are priced by quote. These are all starting prices; the final price is confirmed in a quote.
What counts as one transaction?
One line of money in or out on your bank statement counts as one transaction, and so does one document that needs to be recorded. If the same payment appears in the bank and you also hold the invoice, it is usually counted by the actual work involved. We look at your bank statement to confirm before quoting.
Do the prices include service tax?
No. If the service provider is registered for SST, 8% service tax is added. It is shown as a separate line on the quote.
What if my transactions suddenly go up one month?
Going over the limit for one month does not mean you must change plans straight away. If you go over the plan limit for several months in a row, we will talk with you first about whether to upgrade. Any work outside the quoted scope is explained before it is done, and the terms in your quote apply.
I haven't done my books for a few years. How is catch-up bookkeeping charged?
Catch-up bookkeeping is charged per month, from RM150 per month of records. The actual price depends on the transactions in each month and whether your documents are complete. The messier the documents, the longer the sorting takes. You can send us your bank statements first for an assessment.
Are tax filing and audit fees included in the monthly fee?
The monthly fee includes year-end closing and preparing your accounts for the auditor or tax agent. Tax computation and filing for Form C, Form B and CP204 is quoted separately by a partner licensed tax agent, and audit fees are charged separately too. Your quote lists exactly what is included, item by item.
